What is the Lesley Card?

The Lesley Card is the official identification card of Lesley University.  It is issued to all members of the University Community and is required for identification and access to essential campus services.  It also offers a convenient account for making purchases on and off campus.  All students, faculty, and staff at Lesley University are currently eligible to receive a Lesley Card.

How do I get my Lesley Card?

All returning students will receive their new Lesley Card upon returning to campus for the fall semester.

What if I lose my Lesley Card?

Immediately report a lost or stolen card to the Doble Public Safety/Campus Services Office at 34 Mellen St. Mon. – Fri. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., call 617-349-8825, or email lesleycardoffice@lesley.edu.  After hours, call Public Safety at 617-349-8888.  To deactivate your CashLynx account, click here or call 1-888-841-3340.  To get your new Lesley Card, visit the Doble Public Safety/Campus Services Office at 34 Mellen St.  Hours of operation are Mon. – Fri. 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Click here for a campus map.  After hours, visit Public Safety at 34 Mellen St.  A $25 fee will be charged to replace your card.

How does CashLynx work?

CashLynx is a cashless, prepaid spending account on your Lesley Card that is accepted on and off campus.  You must add value to your account before using CashLynx to make purchases.  You must have sufficient value available in your CashLynx account to pay for each transaction. Each time you use your CashLynx account, the amount of the transaction will be deducted from your account. You may not spend more value than you have.  Unused balances in CashLynx roll over semester to semester and year to year.

What is my CashLynx Number?

Your 16-digit CashLynx number is located on the back right corner of your Lesley Card.  It is labeled “ISO #” and uniquely identifies your prepaid spending account.

What is my ID number?

Your 7 digit ID number is located on the back left corner of your Lesley Card.  It is labeled “ID Number”.  It is not your social security number, it is a unique number that is 7 digits in length.

What’s the difference between my Meal Plan and CashLynx?

Both accounts are accessed by your Lesley Card.

All residential students are required to participate in a meal plan. Payment is made along with tuition and other fees.  Meal plans are only accepted as a form of payment at campus dining locations.  Click here to learn more.

CashLynx is a prepaid spending account that is accepted at all campus dining locations plus many other locations on and off campus.  It is designed to eliminate the need to carry cash.  You or your parents must add value to CashLynx before using it for purchases.   Value in CashLynx rolls over from semester to semester and from year to year.

When is value added to CashLynx available?

Funds transferred by debit/credit card and cash are available instantly.  Check deposits are available on the business day received. If a check is returned to us by your financial institution for insufficient funds, the deposit will be reversed from your CashLynx account and a Returned Payment/Check fee will be assessed. If the Returned Payment/Check fee creates a negative balance in your account, you will be contacted to make another payment to the account.

How do I make a purchase with CashLynx?

At retail locations, CashLynx works much like a debit or credit card.  Just present your Lesley Card for payment to the attendant at the register.  Your card will be swiped in a terminal and the transaction authorized.  You will need to sign a printed receipt of the approved transaction.  At self-service locations, simply insert your card in the terminal.

Where can I use CashLynx?

CashLynx can be used at many campus locations and at off campus businesses.  These can be identified by the “Welcomed” sticker featuring the CashLynx logo.  Click here for a complete list of accepting locations.

How do I recommend additional accepting locations for CashLynx?

Cardholder suggestions are welcome and encouraged.  Recommendations can be sent via e-mail to our recruitment department.  Please include the name of the location and why you would like to see them join the program.

Yes, it is secured via 128 Bit SSL Encryption so you can manage your account with confidence.

What if I forget my user name or password?

Go to CashLynx Cardholder Account Center.  Under the Login button, click [Forgot your username or password?] and follow the instructions.

Can I use CashLynx to pay for tuition, fees or room and board?

No, at this time, CashLynx cannot be used to pay for these University charges.

What is the CashLynx refund process?

You may receive a refund of your CashLynx account balance when you graduate, withdraw or leave Lesley University.  Proof of withdrawal or dismissal is required.  Refund requests must be submitted to the College’s card program service provider in writing to:

What happens if I swipe my card at a self-service location and the machine does not work?

If the self-service machine does not work properly, you will not be charged for the transaction.  If for any reason you are charged, please email us a refund request.  Please include the location, date & time of the transaction(s) in question.

What is the difference between CashLynx and Campus Cash?

Campus Cash broadens the acceptance of CashLynx off campus.  It enables you to use CashLynx to make purchases at a network of businesses that accepts prepaid spending accounts from many participating colleges and universities in the Boston area.  Lesley University is one of these colleges.  So, in addition to being able to use CashLynx on and around campus, you can use it to make purchases at any business that displays the Campus Cash Welcomed sticker – more than 75 in the Back Bay, Fenway and Cambridge neighborhoods.   To see a complete list of locations, click here.
